Frequently asked questions
The practical questions about working together. For the broader ones about how this kind of software works, see the answers page.
Getting started
With a conversation rather than a proposal. You tell us what you're building, we ask enough questions to understand it properly, and we come back with a scope, a timeline and a cost. If we're not the right team for it, we'll tell you at that stage rather than after you've paid for discovery.
Usually within a couple of weeks. We keep deliberate slack in the schedule rather than accepting everything and queueing it, because a project that starts on time and finishes is better for both sides than one that starts immediately and stalls.
What you're building, whether anything already exists, roughly when you need it live, and anything already decided — a platform, a stack, an integration you're locked into. A line or two per point is enough.
Cost and timelines
It depends on scope, and any agency quoting before understanding the problem is guessing. What we can commit to is that the number you get after scoping is the number — we'd rather have a difficult conversation up front than deliver a surprise invoice later.
Around six weeks for a focused product, against roughly six months for a traditional agency process. Complex platforms take longer, and we say so during scoping rather than at week five.
Both, depending on the work. A defined build suits a fixed scope; automation and platforms that keep evolving usually suit an ongoing arrangement.
How we work
No. Everything is built by our own team. It's the single biggest reason our timelines hold — there's no coordination overhead between agencies and no gap where context gets lost in a handoff document.
Often, yes. We'll review the existing codebase honestly first — sometimes inheriting it is the right call, and sometimes rebuilding is genuinely cheaper than untangling. We'll tell you which, including when the answer isn't the one that earns us more.
Both. We build for early-stage startups and for established enterprises operating across multiple markets. Several of the products we run were built as internal tools for our own agency, so we understand building under constraint.
Ownership and confidentiality
You do. Source code, infrastructure, domains and third-party accounts are yours and are handed over in full. We don't hold anything that would make leaving difficult.
Yes, routinely, and before you share anything sensitive. Send yours over or ask us for one. Every client project is handled to NDA standard regardless.
After launch
We fix it. Every release goes through QA first, but nothing is perfect, and we maintain the products we build rather than treating launch as the end of the relationship.
Post-launch QA, monitoring and updates are included as standard.
About us
The UAE. The registered entity is Tropika Labs F.Z.E, in Ajman Free Zone. We work across the GCC, Europe and North America.
Since 2016 — including on-chain, which is where most of the depth is. That experience is not available at most agencies at any price.
Yes — the portfolio covers client work, and the products page shows the ten products we built and run for ourselves, each with its real screens rather than mockups.
